F. With regard to buying and selling, as well, it is a mitzvah to give precedence to the Jew before the gentile. Therefore, if one has a choice to sell or buy an object from either a Jew or a non-Jew, then he should buy or sell it to the Jew. As it says: When you buy or sell to your neighbor (Vayikra 25:14). Our Sages expound from this verse that if you have something to sell or buy, do so with your fellow Jew. The same is true if you need to hire a worker, and you have a choice between hiring a Jew or a gentile, and the benefit of their work will be the same, then the Jew should be hired.
G. Even if the Jew charges slightly more for his merchandise than the gentile does, or the Jew will pay less than the gentile, it is still better to sell or buy from the Jew.
