56 – The Laws of Paying Wages / Chapter Ten
D. This law, that an agent who hired workers for an employer does not transgress bal talin (“Do not withhold…”), applies to an ordinary agent. But a person who was appointed as a guardian over someone’s property — even if it is well-known that the merchandise etc. is not his own — is the one responsible to pay the workers. Therefore, if he delays paying them, he transgresses bal talin. Similarly, a married woman who hires workers to do a job in the home, is obligated to pay the workers that very day, in order to avoid transgressing bal talin.
Hashem says to you what is the best and what he demand from you, just do good deeds and Ahavas Chessed and meekness with Elokecha (Micha 6,8)
