Hilchos Tevilas Keilim – 22

  1. Heavy utensils may not be immersed one inside another, because their weight causes them to press against each other, and the water cannot reach their point of contact. (Shulchan Aruch 120:12)

2.    Concealed parts of a utensil, where the water in any case will not reach, are not subject to chatzitza-obstructions. [Thus, even if there might be some foreign object trapped in that concealed space, it is not a chatzitza and the utensil may be immersed as is]. (Shulchan Aruch and Taz 202:9)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
