Laws of Blessings – 13

  1. A person who is fulfilling his obligation of Bircas Hamazon(Grace after Meals) by listening to someone else who is saying it [employing the principle of “Listening is like speaking”], must also sit with awe and not stand or recline. (Shulchan Aruch OC 183 with Mishnah Berura)

2.     Some authorities say that one who is reciting the “Three-faceted Blessing” (i.e., after eating grain products, wine or fruit), as well, must specifically recite it while seated. (ibid.)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
