Laws of Blessings – 53

  1. One who ate different food items that together amounted to a kazayis(the size of an olive) — if they are all from the Seven Species [such as pomegranate and olives], he recites the Three-faceted blessing, and if they are types of food whose after-blessing is Borei Nefashos, than he recites Borei Nefashos (Mishnah Berurah 210:1).

2.     If he ate half a kazayis of a food type  whose blessing is the Three-faceted blessing and another half from a species whose blessing is Borei Nefashos [such as a pomegranate and an apple], then he should recite Borei Nefashos on both of them (ibid.).

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
