Even in a case where something is said in front of three, it is forbidden for the speaker to add even one word of his own that can add shame to the subject, or even to emphasize his words by saying that indeed it makes sense. Even when something is already well-known, if one’s intention when telling it over is to degrade and shame the subject, it is forbidden.
10. Even when telling something over to three, it is forbidden to pass it on to one whom will presumably believe the story as fact and will go ahead and shame the subject.

Given all the above limitations, it is clear that the authorization of telling something over in from of three is rarely applicable. Even when all the conditions are met, many authorities disagree with this leniency, therefore, the Chofetz Chaim advises us to avoid making use of this license altogether.
