1. The prohibition of rechilus is even when the speaker already knows what the subject said about him but he does not see it as something negative. If the speaker interprets it negatively, it is rechilus.
2. When two individuals heard lashon hara and one went ahead and told the subject what was said about him, it is forbidden for the second person to also go and tell him, as this strengthens or reawakens the hatred.

3. One who wants to repent for the sin of rechilus, should beg his friend for forgiveness and appease him, he must also regret his action, confess that what he did was wrong, and commit not to transgress this sin again.
