Shem Olam / Ch. 21 – 133

[Continuation of advantages to learning in a group over learning in solitude]:

  1. When learning in a group sometimes he explains something to his friend, and he gets the Torah commandment of teaching Torah to others.

2.     When learning in a group the material becomes more clear, and when a person learns on his own he might misunderstand and no one will correct him.

“And the utterly undoubtable truth is that if the entire world, from one end to the other, would be absent of our engagement and delving into the Torah, even for one moment, literally, then all the worlds - both upper and lower - would be destroyed instantly, and would turn into utter chaos, chas v’shalom…” (Nefesh Hachaim)
