The Laws of Charity – 7

1) If a gentile who wants to give charity to a Jew, we do not accept it from him. If he is a respected person, and there is a possibility that not accepting the money will cause discord, one may accept from him, and one must then use the money for non-Jewish poor people. When doing this, there is no problem of trickery, for we do sustain gentile paupers together with Jewish ones. (Meiri Yoma 10a)

2) If, however, the non-Jew said explicitly that he wants this charity to go only towards supporting Jewish poor people, one must not trick him, and one must give the charity to Jewish paupers. (ibid)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
