The Laws of Prayer (84)
1) At the end of the prayer of the Amidah, the person praying must bow down, and while bowing down must take three steps backwards. After taking these steps, while still bowing down, he should turn his face to the left side (which is the right hand side of the Divine Presence which is facing him) and say “Oseh shalom bimeromav” (He makes peace in His high places), turn his face to the right hand side and say “Hu ya’aseh shalom aleinu” (He should make peace over us), and finally should bow down forwards like a servant taking leave of his master and say “Ve’al kal Yisrael” (and over all of Klal Yisrael). (Mishne Berurah 123)
2) Some say that one should not say all of the above while bowing down once, but instead when finishing the three steps and one is still bowing down one should turn his face to the left side (which is the right hand side of the Divine Presence which is facing him) and say “Oseh shalom bimeromav” (He makes peace in His high places), and then he should straighten himself up and bow again towards the right hand side and say “Hu ya’aseh shalom aleinu” (He should make peace over us), and finally he should straighten himself again and then bow down forwards like a servant taking leave of his master and say “Ve’al kal Yisrael ve’imru Amen” (and over all of Klal Yisrael and say Amen). (Ben Ish Chai Sh”a Beshalach 24)
