The Laws of Prayer (The morning services) (38)

1)    When praying the Amidah one must concentrate on the translation of the words in all of the blessings. If he is unable to do this, he must at least concentrate on the first blessing and the blessing of “Modim”. If he is unable even to do this, he should at least concentrate during the first blessing. If he did not concentrate during the first blessing, and has still not said the word Hashem in the blessing at the end of it, he returns to the words “Elokei Avraham” and repeats the blessing from there onwards. If, however, he has already said the word Hashem in the ending blessing of the first blessing, he does not repeat at all. (Shulchan Aruch and Mishne Berurah 101)

2)    Even someone who finds it difficult to concentrate on all of the blessings, should accustom himself to concentrate at least on the ending of each blessing. (This refers to the small blessing at the end of each blessing of which an example is “Baruch Attah Hashem Magen Avraham.) (ibid)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
