The Laws of The Beginning of the Month Reciting the Halle (8)

1)    If he interrupted in the middle of the recital of the Hallel, even if he waited long enough that he could have recited the entire Hallel during the break, he nevertheless is not obligated to repeat, but can instead continue from the place where he stopped. (Shulchan Aruch 422)

2)    The obligation to recite the Hallel is when standing as Hallel is a testimony to the praise of Hashem and His wonders and the miracles that He has done for us, and testimony is only accepted when standing. In the event that he said it sitting he has still fulfilled his obligation. (ibid)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
