If a person was blessed with wealth, he should not just rely on his own learning, because the wealth Hashem gave him can do wonders to strengthen the holy Yeshivas, and to support Torah learners. By doing so he will gain children beloved to Hashem, as it says, one who teaches his friend’s son Torah is considered as if he gave birth to him. In our generation especially, the reward for supporting Torah is inestimable.

One should show tremendous alacrity in this, while money is still available and there are scholars to support, for one never know what tomorrow will bring. Fortunate is the person who Hashem gave the opportunity to be involved in such a precious endeavor.
