Washing Dishes and Cleaning the Table on Shabbath and Yom Tov

 

WASHING DISHES

12. Neither natural loofahs nor artificial dish cleaners made in the form of flax-like strands may be used on Shabbath and Yom Tov when they are wet, since the rules set out in paragraph 11 above with regard to sponges and cloths are also applicable to them.

13.a. Dishes may be washed with specially designed rubberbladed scrapers (squeegees).

13.b. Rubber or plastic gloves may be worn while one is washing the dishes.
