One must feel extra pain on accidental and forced sins, for it is a sign and indication that his soul is impure as Hashem does not bring mishaps even through the animal of a righteous person, and all the more so through the righteous person himself, and merits are always produced through meritorious people and demerits through guilty people. It is fitting in this case that the person should pour his heart out to Hashem.
One who is forced to sin, although he will not be punished, as the Torah did not punish one who is forced, but nevertheless he must fix and repair that which he has broken and clean that which he had made dirty and this is why we say on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) when we are saying the set of supplications for atonement which start with the words “Al Cheit” that we are also asking for atonement for sins done when we were forced to do them (Al Cheit shechatanu lefanecha be’ones), as even when forced to commit a sin one needs to repent and then when he repents he will be healed.
