It is incumbent upon the person to teach his family the laws of blessings so that they do not eat without reciting a blessing, for one is held responsible for the sins of his family. And if he cannot teach them himself, then he is required to hire someone who can. A person should not be concerned about the time or expense he will have to spend in the effort to educate his family, for why else do we need money or time if not for doing the will of Hashem? And even if the person will have to take off time from his Torah studies, nevertheless, there are situations where its annulment is its preservation, as written: For it is a time to act for Hashem; they have voided Your Torah (Tehillim 119:126).
It is proper to make every effort to search in the holy books and copy from them the correct wording of the blessings and their laws until one is fluent in them. It is likewise imperative to learn the meaning of the blessings and to recite them with the right intention, as our Rabbis said: “A prayer recited without proper intention is like a body without a soul.”
