General Principles Relating to Muktzeh on Shabbath and Yom Tov
OBJECTS MUKTZEH AT THE COMMENCEMENT
OF SHABBATH OR YOM TOV
3. Laundry which was wet when Shabbath or Yom Tov commenced and was not then fit to be worn (because of the prohibitions referred to in Chapter 15, paragraphs 15 and 17) may not be moved on Shabbath or Yom Tov, even after it has dried out during the course of the day.
4. If an article which is muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis breaks on Shabbath, and one is no longer particular about using it for a purpose other than the one for which it was intended, it nevertheless remains muktzeh and may not be moved. (See Chapter 20, paragraph 24.)
5. An article which is a basis la-dauar ha-assur at the commencement of Shabbath or Yom Tov remains so for the whole day, even after the muktzeh object which it supports has been removed. (See Chapter 20, paragraphs 46 and 53.)
