Plants and Trees

8.a. Sprinklers may be turned on before the commencement of Shabbath, and left on over Shabbath, in order to irrigate a field or garden.
8.b. Sprinklers may be turned off even on Shabbath.

9.a. One must not place a covering over plants in a nursery, or remove such a covering, since this is done to help the plants grow.9.b. One may, however, open or close a door in order enter or leave a hothouse or greenhouse.
