Our Sages said ‘When Hashem came to give Torah to the Jewish People he asked them for guarantors that they would keep it], and would not accept any guarantor until they gave their small children as guarantors, as it states, ‘From the mouths of toddlers and children you founded the strength’, and strength refers to Torah, as the verse continues, ‘to defeat your enemies and rout your foes and revengers’. The verse is teaching us that the Torah that small children learn is on such a high level that it can defeat warring armies, and the reason their Torah is so precious is because they never sinned with their mouths, and only their Torah can protect us from our enemies.
Hence, we must make sure our children are given a pure education based on Torah and fear of Hashem, like our forefathers gave us, and in this merit may we be spared of any adversity, and Hashem should send us the final redemption speedily in our days.
