1. When saying “Oseh Shalom Bimromav” at the end of the Amidah he should stand with his feet straight and parallel like during the Amidah as he is still standing before Hashem. (Mishne Berurah 123)
2. After a person has taken his three steps back at the end of the Amidah, he should not immediately return to the place where he had prayed. Instead, he should remain in the place where his three steps finished until the cantor reaches Kedushah or at least until he starts the repetition of the Amidah. If he is praying by himself, he should wait the amount of time it takes to walk four cubits. (Some say that he should wait there for the amount of time that it takes the cantor to reach Kedushah). If he does not do this, he looks like a student who is taking leave from his teacher and returning immediately to his place when it would appear that he wants to show that he only took the three steps back to fulfil his duty. This is repugnant. (Shulchan Aruch and Mishne Berurah ibid)
