4. Love of God (d)

All of the examples mentioned above of God’s blessings to people, and for which we have reason to love Hashem, are, in truth, nothing in comparison with the blessings that Hashem bestowed upon our souls, which are truly great, invaluable gifts. He selected us from among all the peoples, he gave us the Torah of truth and implanted eternal life within us; He sanctified us through His commandments and chose us to serve Him and offer blessing in His Name. It is through these things that we shall merit to live and see and inherit goodness and blessing for the life of the World to Come, which is such a great gift that the Sages said: “Better one hour of spiritual bliss in the World to Come than the entire life of this world” (Avos 4:17).

“My brothers and my nation, take this sefer Torah, and with this, and like this learn well, so that you should have it good; listen and enliven your soul, and achieve gladness and joy in this world and the world to come” (From the author’s intro.)
