369. Modesty

The character-trait of modesty is necessary for men and even more for women. In this way a man is distinguished from an animal. This characteristic is necessary for all people even when they are alone in their home because of the honor of the Exalted and Lofty King, whose Glory fills the entire earth.

Similarly, the character-trait of modesty is necessary for fulfilling the Torah and its commandments as it says “And modesty of walking with your G-d!”, and it says further “And with modest people there is wisdom!”.
