It is fitting for a person to be amongst those who are chased and not those who chase as Chazal said that there is no bird which is chased more than the pigeon and dove and that is why the Torah validated them as offerings in the temple. On the verse which says “And Hashem will seek out the pursued!”, Chazal say in the Midrash that even if a righteous man is chasing a wicked man and definitely if a wicked man is pursuing a righteous man Hashem will always seek the good of the pursued person.
