It is correct for a person to make an effort to do the will of each and every person and not to cause pain to any person in order to de4rive benefit etc. however, this is only when this does not go against the will of Hashem in which case it is far better to go against the will of all the people in the world and one’s own will in order to keep the will of Hashem. For this also one needs a balanced judgment with correct “scales” as the self-respect of the creations is extremely important and sometimes a person’s decisions have to be based also on the fact that he has to be accepted by other people and he must not allow a place for the people to sin and to say denigrating things about him. These things have no fixed size nor should any rule and each person who is aware act with sense and choose the correct way for him to act.
