Laws Relating to Animals on Shabbath and Yom Tov

USING AN ANIMAL

20. When taking an animal such as a dog for a walk in a place where there is no eiruv, one should be careful not to put any article on it which is not required for the protection of the animal’s physical well-being. (See also paragraphs 8 and 9 above.)
