Specific laws relating to the transfer of objects from one place to another on Yom Tov are dealt with in Chapter 19.

ARTICLES WHICH ARE WORN

15. It is permitted for a person who has an artificial limb or false teeth to go out wearing them on Shabbath.

16.a. A person who wears glasses (spectacles) all the time because he cannot see as clearly without them may go out into reshuth ha-rabbim wearing them.

16.b. There are also valid grounds for permitting a person who wears glasses purely for ornamental purposes, and not because he has any difficulty in seeing, to go out into reshuth ha-rabbim wearing them, but see paragraph 12b above.

16.c. It is forbidden to go out wearing reading glasses, since one will certainly come to remove them in the street and carry them for a distance of four amoth or more in reshuth ha-rabbim.

16.d. This does not apply in the case of glasses containing bifocal lanses and one may, accordinagly go out into reshuth ha-rabbim wearing them.
