Categories of Muktzeh
Laws specifically relating to muktzeh on Yom Tov are explained in Chapter 21.
MUKTZEH MEI CHAMATH CHESRON KIS
19.b. examples are
1) circumcision knife,*
2) knife used for slaughtering animals or poultry.
3) a special butchers’ knife,
4) valuable candlesticks (even if no candles have been lit in them on the Shabbath in question),
5) a length of cloth intended to be made into a garment,
6) a typewriter,
7) a radio,
8) a camera,
9) delicate instruments designed for a use which is prohibited on Shabbath,
10) mint stamps which one wishes to use for postage,
11) good quality writing paper and
12) parchment awaiting use by a scribe.
19.c. An item which is muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis may not be moved, even if one desires to use it for a permitted purpose and wishes to make use of the place which it occupies.
