Categories of Muktzeh

Laws specifically relating to muktzeh on Yom Tov are explained in Chapter 21.

 

MUKTZEH MEI CHAMATH CHESRON KIS

21.a. Items

1) which are intended for sale and

2) which their owner is particular not to use, even for his own purposes,

are treated as muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis.

21.b. They may not be moved, even though, on this occasion, the owner wishes to make use of them for his own requirements.

21.c. This is so even if the items

1) are designed for use in an activity which is permitted on Shabbath and

2) have no great value.
