Hilchos Purim – 25

1. Some authorities say that on Purim it is permissible for a man to wear women’s clothing, and vice versa, since their in intention is only for merriment. However most Poskim write that one may not behave in this manner, and that even for young children this is forbidden (Shulchan Aruchand Mishnah Berurah 696).

2. It is customary to train even young children in the mitzvah of Mishloach Manos by having them send to each other or by sending them as messengers for their parents. This is only for training purposes, but – according to some opinions -an adult who sends portions to a child does not fulfill his obligation (Kaf HaChaim and see Aruch Hashulchan).
