- After eating fruit of the trees of the Seven species, one recites the Three-faceted blessing — “for the tree and the fruit of the tree….” These fruit are: grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates (Shulchan Aruch and Mishnah Berurah208).
2. The reason for this is that since these fruit are unique — in that they are used in the praise of the Land of Israel — the Sages therefore designated a unique blessing for them (Mishnah Berurah and Kaf HaChaim ibid.).
