The Laws of Prayer/“Offerings” (15)

1) There are those who say that it is correct to move when praying, because of the verse which says “All of my bones will say “Hashem, who is like you?””, and some say that one should only move when saying the verses of praise and the blessings relevant to the Shema, but not in the prayer itself. Practically speaking, the bottom line is that each person should conduct himself during prayer in the that is most conducive to full concentration on the prayers. (Shulchan Aruch and Mishne Berurah 48)

2) There are, however, people who move in an incorrect way, by keeping their bodies still and moving their heads from side to side in an arrogant way. One should avoid this. (ibid)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
