The Laws of Prayer (The morning services) (9)

1. It is incorrect to pray opposite decorated curtains etc. which are hung on the wall so that he will not look at the pictures while praying, which will disturb his concentration. If he is forced to pray in such a situation, he should keep his eyes away from the pictures. It follows that one must be careful not to have pictures on the walls of the synagogue, unless they are drawn above the height of people. (Shulchan Aruch and Mishne Berurah 90)

2. It is forbidden to pray opposite a mirror even if his eyes are closed, as it looks like he is bowing down to his own reflection. When his eyes are open it is even more forbidden as it disturbs his concentration. (ibid)

The wise man says: I shall learn two halachot today, and two tomorrow, until I learn the entire Torah entirely… (Vayikra Rabba)
