Laws specifically relating to muktzeh on Yom Tov are explained in Chapter 21.

KELI SHE MELACHTO LE-ISSUR

9. One is also allowed to move a keli she-melachto le-issur

a. in order to give it to another person who wishes to use it for a permitted purpose, or

b. if one needs to use it (in a permitted manner) for an animal.

10.a. A typical example where one is allowed to move a keli she melachto le-issur in order to make use of the place which it which it occupies occurs when a hammer is lying on a table over which one wishes to spread a cloth.

10.b. Similarly, one may move the hammer if one wishes to use or move something else and is physically prevented from doing so by the hammer’s presence, as where it is lying on a tablecloth which one needs.

10.c. One is not permitted to move the hammer merely because its very presence in a particular place disturbs one’s peace of mind, for instance if the fact that it is lying on the table will cause one embarrassment in front of guests.
