Categories of Muktzeh
Laws specifically relating to muktzeh on Yom Tov are explained in Chapter 21.
MUKTZEH MEI CHAMATH CHESRON KIS
22.d. 1) Threads of tzitzith which have not yet been attached to a garment are muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis,
2) however, tzitzith which have become torn and unfit to be used as such are not muktzeh, provided that
a) they were not, before Shabbath commenced, put away in a special place used for disposing of disused items of a sacred nature (geniza) and
b) one is accustomed to making some permitted use of them, for instance as a bookmark.
22.e. 1) Eating utensils which one uses on Passover are muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis (except on Passover of course), as one is normally particular not to use them during the rest of the year.
2) Matzoth which one wishes to use on the first night of Passover, in order to fulfill the mitzva of eating matza, are muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis on shabbath which falls on the day before Passover.
