Categories of Muktzeh
Laws specifically relating to muktzeh on Yom Tov are explained in Chapter 21.
BASIS LA-DAVAR HA-ASSUR
51.a. An article does not become a basis la-davar ha-assur unless
1) one’s specific intention in placing or hanging the muktzeh object on the article is that the muktzeh object should be in that position or
1) the muktzeh object is normally kept in or on the article, as in the case of money kept in a purse.
51.b. If
1) one has unintentionally placed or hung a muktzeh object on an article, without any specific desire that
the muktzeh object should be there, or if
2) the muktzeh object has fallen onto it,
the article does not become a basis la-davar ha-assur, but is subject to the rules set out in paragraph 47b above.
