Chapter 22

General Principles Relating to Muktzeh on Shabbath and Yom Tov

 

OBJECTS BECOMING MUKTZEH

AFTER THE COMMENCEMENT OF SHABBATH

10.a. If, on Shabbath,

1) one decides to keep a particular item for sale and

2) from then on, one is particular not to use it, even for le one’s own purposes,

it becomes muktzeh mei-chamath chesron kis. (See Chapter 20, paragraph 21.)

10.b. If one reverses one’s original decision later on the same Shabbath, the item in question ceases to be muktzeh mei-chamath chearon kis.
