One who believes in Hashem and trusts Him with a complete trust, will choose for himself an easy, clean profession and a business which does not need much effort and exertion. All the more so must he avoid having to miss praying the three daily prayers with a quorum, and he should not consider praying with a quorum a yoke on his neck, G-d forbid, and remember that Hashem has the power to save anyone, big or small. On the contrary, one who trusts in Hashem and performs goodnesses, will be satisfied with his food and be good. It is true that everything is calculated according to the deeds of the person, and sometimes heaven will decree that a person will only receive sustenance through work, exertion and difficulty, and we know that a person does not move a finger in this world unless it was decreed in heaven, but Chazal nevertheless said that “A man is brought in the direction that he wishes to go!”, and it is incumbent on a person to try with all of his strength and effort and to make do with little in order to seek quietness, serenity and tranquility (which is good) in order to serve Hashem. Hashem will not withhold goodness for those who walk with simple trust.
The main tranquility which a person should seek is the tranquility in the next world. For this purpose, a person should bend his shoulder to the yoke and suffer, and not dry up. He should calculate the reward for a good deed as opposed to the loss incurred, for one hour of enjoyment in the next world is better than all of the life in this world.
