REMUNERATION FOR SERVICES RENDERED ON SHABBATH OR YOM TOV
64.a. Where the use of a warm mikveh is permitted on Shabbath,* one may pay the entrance charge either before or after Shabbath.
64.b. The reason for this is that the charge covers the cost of heating and cleaning the mikveh prior to Shabbath, so that it will be in a fit state to be used on Shabbath.
65.a. One is allowed to pay, before Shabbath, for admittance on Shabbath to zoological gardens or to similar attractions which one may visit on Shabbath.**
65.b. The relevant factor here is that the price of the ticket includes such expenses as the maintenance of cleanliness, both before and after Shabbath, and the cost of feeding the animals.

**This is only allowed where one does not infringe a prohibition by carrying a ticket and where it is usual to pay in advance, so that other people will not think one has paid on Shabbath or otherwise violated the Shabbath.
