Chapter 24

Laws Relating to the Erection of Protective Shelters and of Partitions on Shabbath and Yom Tov

COVERING WITHOUT INTENDING TO PROVIDE SHELTER

24. A drawer one tefach or more deep, fitted under a table.

a. should not be pulled completely out of the table and,

b. if it is completely out, should not be replaced.

25.a. One is allowed to spread a cloth on a table, even if it overlaps the table and hangs down at the sides.

25.b. It is likewise permitted to spread a blanket over a bed.
