General Principles Relating to Muktzeh on Shabbath and Yom Tov
OBJECTS MISTAKENLY THOUGHT TO BE MUKTZEH
22.a. If one has the intention at the beginning of Shabbath to move a basis la-davar ha-assur, on the mistaken assumption that it is permissible to do so, this intention does not affect the article’s status as a basis la-davar ha-assur
22.b. It may, therefore, not be moved, even if the muktzeh object is removed from it during the course of the day (for example by a non-Jew).
23. One may not move newly washed clothes
a. which one intended to wear on Shabbath, but
b. which one finds out were in fact wet when Shabbath commenced and dried out only subsequently.
