1. It is not necessary to replace the wicks every day of Chanukkah, as they may be re-used on the subsequent nights. Indeed, wicks that were already used are easier to kindle that new ones (Shulchan and Mishnah Berurah 673).

2. As much as one can afford, it is proper that each person strive to prepare a beautiful menorah for Chanukah. Likewise, the lamps should be well-set (Mishnah Berurah 673:28).
