Chapter 23

Housekeeping and Use of Domestic Facilities on Shabbath and Yom Tov.

REPAIRS

41. A chair seat that is not attached may be removed from its chair and may be put back.

42. One may not fix rubber or plastic noise-absorbers to the legs of chairs or tables, nor may one detach them.

43.a. One may not water freshly poured concrete or plaster either on Shabbath or on Yom Tov.

43.b. One ought to have the foresight not to pour concrete or plaster shortly before Shabbath or Yom Tov, so as not to put oneself into a position where one might be tempted to violate the Shabbath.
