Laws of Muktzeh on Yom Tov (506)

Chapter 21

Laws of Muktzeh on Yom Tov

6.a. Small logs which were not designed or designated for any use and are fit only for firewood may not be moved, except in order to burn them.

6.b. By contrast, paraffin and candles, since they are specially made for burning, are treated like matches (in paragraph 5 above) and may be moved for any purpose.

7.a. On a Yom Tov which occurs on Shabbath, it is possible to relax the rules of muktzeh and apply the same rules as on any other Shabbath, so that

1) whatever is allowed on a normal Shabbath is also allowed when Shabbath coincides with Yom Tov, whereas

2) whatever is forbidden on a normal Shabbath is also forbidden when Shabbath coincides with Yom Tov

7.b. The laws of muktzeh that apply on Yom Kippur are those applicable on Shabbath.
