Specific Laws Relating to the Transfer of Objects from One Place to Another on Yom Tov, Where There Is No Eiruv*
3. It is therefore allowed on Yom Tov, even where there is no eiruv, to
a. wear jewelry or ornaments of all kinds,
b. go out with a handkerchief or the keys of the house in one’s pocket and
c. take a baby out in a baby carriage (perambulator).
4.a. One may take a prayer book back home, even where there is no eiruv, if
1) it was brought to the synagogue on the Festival and
2) one is afraid to leave it in case it will be lost.
4.b. If it was left in the synagogue before the Festival, one should not take it home on Yom Tov, unless one intends to use it there on the same day (before evening)
